Burley Browne are delighted to announce the sale of Stowe House, St Chads Road in Lichfield to a private investor. The property comprises an imposing, Grade II* Listed, period building which dates back to c1750 and although undisclosed, was sold close to the asking price of £1.5million.

Stowe House retains many of the original Georgian style and features and sits within beautifully maintained gardens which extend to approximately 4 acres.

The property extends to an approximate floor area of 11,801 sq ft set over ground, first and second floors together with a basement and benefits from superb views overlooking Stowe Pool and Lichfield Cathedral, in arguably one of the most desirable office locations in the City.

Burley Browne acted on behalf of the Institute of Leadership & Management both with the sale and relocation to their new offices in Tamworth. Chief Executive for The Institute of Leadership and Management, Phil James, comments, “I must take the opportunity to say how delighted we have been with the work that Burley Browne have done for us in arranging the sale of Stowe House and selection of new premises. We have received a great service, wise counsel and more than a couple of nudges in the right direction.”

Ben Nicholson, Associate Director of Burley Browne commented, “Stowe House presented an exciting opportunity to dispose of such prestigious premises in Lichfield which are largely unrivalled in style and design. We are very pleased with the successful disposal of the premises in a relatively short marketing period. The premises provide an iconic building in the City and we are very excited by the new owner’s plans which will prolong the life of such an important piece of local heritage. We wish Phil and the ILM team all the very best in their new home.”
